OBJECTIVE:
An operating system is a
program that acts as an intermediary between a user of a computer and the
computer hardware. We introduce the concepts in operating systems including
process management and storage management.

ATTENDANCE: Regular attendance is expected of all

EXAMINATIONS: Midterm and final
ASSIGNMENTS: Homework may be assigned from questions at
the end of each chapter and other sources. All projects and assignments must be
completed and hard copies and diskette(s) turned in by the beginning of class
on the due date. No late assignments will be accepted.
COLLUSION: Unless otherwise stated Collusion on
assignments is strictly prohibited.
Doing so will earn you and the student(s) you copied from grades of zero
and a request to drop the course.
